It has been reported that the better adaptive capacity to grazing conditions of New Zealand Holstein (NZH) compared with North American Holstein (NAH) cows was associated with lower labile protein mobilization and lower plasma concentrations of branched-chain amino acids (BCAA) during early lactation.
