ABSTRACT. Gala Fult is the first Uruguayan apple cultivar, originated by spontaneous somatic mutation of ?Royal Gala?, identified and evaluated by nurseryman Fernando Rocca and INASE. The fruits have a complete red-blushed skin without streaks and matures more precociously than the other ?Gala? clones, but with the same range of edaphoclimatic adaptation.

ABSTRACT. The genetic basis of an erectoid leaf phenotype was investigated in distinct tomato breeding populations, including one derived from Solanum lycopersicum ?LT05? (with the erectoid leaf phenotype and uniform ripening, genotype uu) × S. pimpinellifollium ?TO-937? (with the wild-type leaf phenotype and green fruit shoulder, genotype UU). The erectoid leaf phenotype was inherited as a semi-dominant trait and it co-segregated with the u allele of gene SlGLK2 (Solyc10g008160).

Does endophyte-association improve productivity in tall fescue? The case of the novel AR584 strain in a non-limiting environment. [Resumen].

In the symbiotic relationship between tall fescue (Festuca arundinacea SHREB.) and the endophytic fungus Epichloë coenophialum, the compounds produced by the later offers survival benefits to the infected grass. Novel endophyte strains offer such advantages, with no toxicity associated to cattle. However, whether both the biotic and abiotic stress tolerance attributed to the endophyte infection result in an increase in dry matter productivity remains unclear.
