Abstract. The aim of this study was to evaluate the effect of different aminoethoxyviniglycine (AVG), thidiazuron (TDZ) and prohexadione calcium (P-Ca) rates sprayed at different timing on fruit set, yield, and fruit quality of 'Rocha' pear trees in different climatic conditions of Sothern Brazil. The study was performed in two commercial orchards located in Sao Joaquim, SC, (2015/2016) and Antonio Prado, RS (2016/2017). Plant material consisted of 'Rocha' pear trees grafted onto Pyrus calleryana and quince roorstock 'BA29' in Sao Joaquim and Antonio Prado, respectively.

Correction to: Application of linked and unlinked co‑transformation to generate triple stack, marker‑free, transgenic white clover (Trifolium repens L.) (Plant Cell, Tissue and Organ Culture (PCTOC), (2020), 142, 3, (635-646), 10.1007/s11240-020-01891-6).

ABSTRACT. Both linked and un-linked co-transformation can be used to overcome limitations of methods, such as re-transformation or sexual crossing of transgenic plants, to enable transfer of multiple genes to a single plant. Un-linked co-transformation can also facilitate the production of selectable marker-free transgenic plants.

Abstract:The rice sector is facing great challenges in the coming years of not only achieving high yields to meet global food demand but also to use less water, energy, and other inputs per unit of production. This also needs to be achieved without compromising the environment and maintaining food safety. Rice farming systems in Uruguay are at the leading edge of productivity and fields are fully irrigated and continuously flooded. Water is becoming increasingly scarce due to environmental concerns, climate change reducing water availability and competition from other sectors.
